I wonder if all the clothes make you uncomfortable from a body heat/sweating point of view. My body runs very warm so I need to dress cool and ventilate. What's your experience with bug protection vs. ventilation, Andrew?

Point #5 is really important, especially in temperate zones where bugs are nothing more than an annoyance. It's useful to remind yourself that, unlike in the tropics, the bugs aren't carrying lethal diseases - they're pests, but nothing more, so don't blow the problem out of proportion and let it ruin your whole trip!
