you've entertained a lot of us with your b.s hype. Good luck finding that "job opportunity" that you're soliciting on your website.

Humble Pie

The "initiative" is over.

He spent more than 2 months on trail and didn't even get out of one state....despite all his "record breaking" hype. If you read his journal you'll notice he spent more time in hotels and crashing at peoples pads during his backcountry adventure than a lot of AT thru hikers do during their entire hike.

Calling a spade a spade...this bloke is a real charlatan. He had no experience and yet held his hand out to the backpacking community asking for sponsors and donations. I don't think this guy has it in him to even do a conventional AT thru hike.

BTW, NGS....you guys should do a lil more fact checking before you post "hikes" like this on your blog. Now of days anybody with a Mac and some time to kill can hype themselves up to be something they aren't. In this case Samuel Gardner sure did.......his on trail results were no surprise to LDH'ers.

Here's to you Samuel, you've entertained a lot of us with your b.s hype. Good luck finding that "job opportunity" that you're soliciting on your website. Good luck also in spinning you meager walk into something inspirational for the lot of the world that don't make "conscious decisions" about life like you, lol. Maybe another youtube video?

Forget the naysayers. There is one born every minute you can always use them as motivation to press on. Mike Phelps did that and walked away with 7 gold medals.
I hope you make it all the way, but even if you don't, you have been an inspiration and I thank you.
